Retina & Vitreo-Retinal Diagnostic Center
Advanced diagnosis for Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration (AMD), Retinal Tears, and peripheral fundus disease with Indirect Ophthalmoscopy.
Preserving Sight from Silent Retinal Disorders
The retina is the neurosensory light-receptive layer lining the back of your eye. Retinal conditions—including diseases of the retina, macula, fovea, and vitreous gel—often advance painlessly until substantial vision is threatened. Early detection through regular retinal screenings is critical, especially for diabetic individuals, elderly patients, and high myopes.
Our Retinal Diagnostic & Care Facilities:
- Diabetic Retinopathy Screening: Detailed dilated fundus examination to detect microaneurysms, hemorrhages, and macular edema before vision loss occurs.
- Indirect Ophthalmoscopy: High-magnification binocular stereoscopic evaluation of the entire peripheral retina with indentation to detect retinal holes, tears, and lattice degeneration.
- Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD): Comprehensive screening for wet and dry AMD, central vision distortion assessment, and medical intervention.
- Hypertensive Retinopathy & Vascular Occlusions: Assessment of central and branch retinal vein occlusions (CRVO/BRVO) and arteriolar sclerosis.
- OCT & Digital Fundus Photography: Non-invasive micron-level cross-sectional imaging of retinal and macular layers.
When Should You Get a Retina Checkup?
- If you have diabetes or high blood pressure (annual screening recommended).
- If you experience sudden flashes of light, floaters, or dark shadows/curtains in your vision.
- If you have high minus glasses (high myopia) which increases the risk of peripheral retinal tears.
